I quickly realized their password requirements are just plain ridiculous. Your password on StackOverflow needs to:
- Have at least 1 uppercase letter
- Have at least 1 number
- Have at least 8 unique characters

That you are automatically forced to follow all your Facebook friends that have Pinterest.
Let’s just say out of my 500+ Facebook friends, I don’t have a deep desire to see their pins of gaudy sparkly glitter dresses or horrible future Apple product concept renderings. I wouldn’t mind if there was an “Unfollow All” button or a “Following” page where I can manage my follows in one location—but there isn’t.
Of course, the automatic following system probably contributed a bit to Pinterest’s hockey stick growth in 2011.
Please don’t make users suffer.
I agree. Landscape two-hand-typing is more awkward than portrait index-finger-typing (for me at least). I don’t necessarily see 16:9 as an awkward size unless the physical form factor is excessively large.
Actually, I don’t think the interfaces for Facebook or SpeedTest are that horrible. It looks like they are just following some Android UI conventions (which may be arguably worse UX-wise).
Heavy focus on Facebook with Twitter sprinkled throughout the rest of the site. Simple and focused messages in today’s TLDR society.

Love the interaction design of this site. No Flash used. Dragging is sort of cumbersome though (probably easier on an iPad than a MacBook trackpad though).
